Enchanting in WoW Forever

Enchanting gets three camp objects in Forever: an Enchanted Lute at skill 20 that raises armor, all stats and resistances for the camp, an Arcane Salvager for better disenchanting, and an Arcane Forge at 300 for the recipes that need one.

Camp objects and buffs as on our WoW Forever professions and camping page, from Blizzard’s Deep Dive recap and Wowhead’s and Icy Veins’ beta guides; recipes from beta client build 1.60.1.69913. Last reviewed: .

What Enchanting does in WoW Forever

Blizzard hasn’t singled out Enchanting beyond the camp system and the 600+ new recipes shared by all professions; the three objects come from Wowhead’s beta guide, written from the client.

The 58 new Enchanting recipes in the beta client go past enchants: there are wands, staves, off-hand items and relics — librams, idols and totems — next to new bracer, necklace, glove and two-handed weapon enchants.

Tier 2Arcane Salvager — better disenchanting140
Tier 3Arcane Forge — recipes that need one300
  • The beta client (build 1.60.1.69913) has Enchanting’s camp recipes at skill 20, 140 and 300.
  • You need the profession to place an object, but anyone resting at the camp gets its effect. Objects can be traded, and crafting one makes two.

Does the Enchanting camp buff stack with class buffs?

Camp buffs are variants of buffs that classes already bring, and Blizzard says they don’t stack with them: a camp fills in for a missing class rather than adding a second buff.

None of our sources names a class buff that one of Enchanting’s camp objects collides with.

New Enchanting recipes in the beta client

The beta client (build 1.60.1.69913) has 58 Enchanting recipes whose spells the Classic Era client (1.15.9.69722) doesn’t have. The Era client also carries every Season of Discovery recipe, so those don’t count as new here. This is client data, not Blizzard’s list: a recipe in the files can change or never ship, and the files don’t say where you learn it.

The groups are the recipe categories of the profession window. Yellow and grey are the skill at which the client turns the recipe yellow (a skill-up is no longer certain) and grey (no more skill-ups); the skill you need to learn it isn’t in these tables.

Some of these recipes only turn yellow at skill 320, above Classic’s cap of 300. Blizzard hasn’t announced Forever’s skill cap.

Blizzard counts 600+ new recipes across all professions; this list counts client records and leaves out the camp objects above, so the two numbers don’t have to match. Also left out: 2 Enchanting recipes that Classic Era already has under the same name, remade here with a new spell ID.

Enchanting in the Legacy system

Forever’s account-wide Legacy system gives a Legacy Point the first time you take a tradeskill to 150, 225 and 300 skill, so Enchanting alone is worth three. These perks touch it (first rank, as seen in the demo):

  • Working Overtime (Professions tree): 4% higher chance of a skill-up from primary, secondary and class tradeskills.
  • Dedicated Study (Professions tree): Raises your lowest primary or secondary tradeskill by 1. Once both primary tradeskills and all three secondary ones reach 300, it gives 2 to 4 random Elemental Essences instead. 25 sec cast, 23 hr cooldown.
  • Reagent Economy (Resourcefulness tree): Class abilities no longer need reagents bought from vendors, and Tier 1 camping features cost no reagents to craft.
  • Field Guide (Adventure tree): The cooldown for adding camping features is 8% shorter.
  • Permanence (Resourcefulness tree): Your long-duration party and raid buffs, and the benefits of resting at a camp, last 50% longer.

Every perk, its tree and where it was seen: WoW Forever Legacy system.
