WoW Forever Beta Datamine

The World of Warcraft: Forever beta client holds more than Blizzard has announced. We compare its database tables with the Classic Era client’s and count what is new, one topic per page, with tables and what the numbers point to. Every page says which build it counts, and that the client is not a promise of what launches.

Items

4,756 new items

By quality, level, slot and armor type; the new Premier honor gear, Horde Paladin and Alliance Shaman sets, crafting-order writs and 891 recipe items.

Spells

4,995 new spells

By kind and class; new Tier 1 set bonuses written per spec, 37 mounts, 41 companions and a new racial for every race.

Zones

12 new maps, 136 new areas

Which announced zones, dungeons and raids the client already has, and the unannounced ones: Ruins of Gilneas, Manor Mistmantle, the Half-Pint Tavern.

Methodology

The builds, the tables, what counts as new and what we leave out (78 placeholder items, 1,815 unnamed IDs).

Datamined is not confirmed

A beta client carries finished content, unfinished content and things that will be cut. These pages tell you what is in the files, which is often the first sign of what is coming; what Blizzard has said is on our other guides with its source, such as the PvP guide and the professions guide, and the WoW Forever Talent Calculator runs on the same beta client’s talent data.

Questions

Where do the numbers come from?

From the Forever beta client’s own database tables, as wago.tools publishes them for build 1.60.1.69913, compared with the Classic Era client 1.15.9.69722. Our scripts do the counting; the methodology page gives the rules.

Does Season of Discovery count as new?

No. The Classic Era client also carries every Season of Discovery item, so anything from SoD is already in the baseline and never counts as new in Forever.

Will everything here be in the game?

Not necessarily. Beta clients hold content that changes or is cut before launch, and they don’t say where an item drops. Read the pages as what the client holds today.
