WoW Forever Quest Database

Every Classic Era quest that Forever is built on, 4236 of them: search by title or NPC, filter by zone, level, side and class, open a quest for its chain, rewards and giver, and collect quests into a route. Classic Era source (cmangos/classic-db): Forever’s own new quests are not in the client by name, and this page says what it cannot show.

Quests are Classic Era data (cmangos/classic-db); zone, faction and item names and the “in the Forever client” mark come from the beta client (build 1.60.1.70291). Beta data can change before launch. Last checked .

Classic Era quests by zone

4236 quests sit in 91 zones and dungeons, plus class, profession and event quests that belong to no zone. Silithus has the most, 119. Pick a zone to open it in the search above; the bar shows how many of its quests are Alliance, Horde or open to either side.

What Forever changes about quests

  • What the client holds: the beta client (build 1.60.1.70291) lists 6610 quest IDs and no titles, levels, givers or rewards: those are sent by the server.
  • Classic quests kept: 3526 of the 4236 quests here have their ID in the Forever client. The other 710 are in neither client: server-side rows of the Classic database such as repeatable turn-ins and hidden steps, marked on their card.
  • Removed quests: 0 quests are in the Classic Era client and missing from the Forever client, so the client shows no Classic quest as removed.
  • Forever’s new quests: 1802 quest IDs are in the Forever client and in neither Classic’s database nor the Classic Era client. These are Forever’s new quests. The client holds no names for them, so this page cannot list them.
  • Objective points: only 22 of those new IDs have map points in the client (54 point groups), too few to draw a map of new quests.

What this quest database covers, and its limits

  • Source: every quest, giver, objective and reward is Classic Era data from cmangos/classic-db, the open-source 1.12 world. 9 placeholder rows are left out.
  • Sides: 1484 quests are limited to Alliance races, 1279 to Horde races, and 1473 carry no race limit. A quest without a race limit can still be given by an NPC that only talks to one side.
  • Givers: 3947 quests have a giver and 4145 a turn-in NPC or object; 3698 givers stand on a zone of the WoW Forever map, the rest are inside instances.
  • Chains: 3163 quests are linked to another quest and 828 start a chain. The drawer follows one line through a quest and names the side branches.
  • XP: 3480 quests have an XP value, computed the way the Classic database does (for a character no more than five levels above the quest). 72% of them equal a value in the Forever client’s quest XP table for that level; Forever’s real values are server data.
  • Rewards: 1793 quests reward an item. 2133 reward items have an icon and a tooltip from the client; 5 are in neither the Forever client nor our item database and show only their Classic name.
  • Language: quest titles, objectives and NPC names exist in English only in this source.
