WoW Forever Consumables
Every potion, elixir, flask, food, bandage, scroll, weapon stone and bomb in the Forever beta client. Set your level, pick what you want it to do, and see what it takes to craft.
Items, levels, effects, cooldowns and recipes are read from the beta client (build 1.60.1.70291). Beta data can change before launch, and the client doesn’t say who sells or drops an item. Last checked .
What the WoW Forever consumables finder covers
The finder holds 740 consumables from the beta client’s item tables. 190 are new in Forever (no item of that ID or name in the Classic Era client), and 81 Classic ones differ from their Classic Era row. 362 are made by a recipe of 6 professions; the other 378 have no recipe.
- Potions90 items
- Elixirs73 items
- Flasks9 items
- Food283 items
- Drink23 items
- Bandages27 items
- Scrolls45 items
- Weapon oils and stones26 items
- Explosives44 items
- Device25 items
- Other95 items
- Effects are read from each item’s spell rows. A number on a chip (“+25 Agility”) is shown only when the client’s own sentence prints the same number. Food buffs gained after eating are listed by stat without a number: the client scales them by rules its tables don’t spell out.
- Food and drink: for 281 items the client’s sentence can’t be filled from the tables, so the card gives the total instead: the regeneration rate of the spell times its duration.
- Stacking: the client has no “battle” and “guardian” elixir categories. What it does encode is shared cooldowns: the largest group holds 78 items, most of them of the kind Other. Select the cooldown on a card to see its whole group. Rules such as “one flask at a time” exist only in the tooltip sentence, shown on the card.
- Kept through death is marked on 118 items because their buff’s spell carries the client’s flag for it. It is a flag in beta data, not a tested result.
- Left out: 434 Season of Discovery consumables the client still carries (not confirmed for Forever), permanent enhancements such as armor kits and scopes, and items the client files outside the Consumable class.
- Not in the client: vendors, drops, quest rewards and prices. An item without a recipe says “not crafted” and nothing more.
Consumables in WoW Forever raids
Every Classic consumable stays usable in raids, and world buffs do not work there, the developers said on the WoW Forever Podcast episode 3. They also said the economy is being tuned so that a raid night doesn’t need a week of farming. Which flasks and elixirs a raid asks for depends on the encounters: see the WoW Forever raids guide.

Making and using them
- Recipes, skill ranges and leveling routes: Alchemy, Cooking, First Aid, Engineering and Enchanting, or all of them from the WoW Forever professions guide.
- Crafting a batch: the WoW Forever crafting planner adds up the reagents of any recipes and lists what is missing. Each crafted item here opens it with its recipe picked.
- Leveling: the example view, healing potions usable at level 40, lists 18 potions, with Dreamless Sleep Potion (level 35) on top. Zones and dungeons by level are in the WoW Forever leveling guide.
Still unconfirmed
- Final items, levels and effects: these are beta numbers and can change before launch
- The size of food buffs gained after eating, which the client’s tables don’t give as plain numbers
- Whether the Season of Discovery consumables in the client will exist in Forever
- Where items without a recipe come from in Forever
