Zygor vs RestedXP for WoW Forever

RestedXP and Zygor both sell guides that run inside the game, and both have announced guides for World of Warcraft: Forever, which launches on November 4, 2026. Neither is released and we have used neither, so this page compares what each vendor has published: prices, plans and promises. It names no winner.

RestedXP’s pages were read on October 12, 2026, Zygor’s on October 12, 2026; prices and plans can change. Last reviewed: .

What each costs for the time you play

One is a subscription and the other a purchase, so which costs less depends on how long you play and on whether you play one faction or both. Set both and the lines recompute from the prices in the table above.

Factions you will play

Cost of each plan for 3 months of play · One faction

RestedXP

Lowest: $30.00

  • Alliance guide, bought once$30.001 payment
  • Horde guide, bought once$30.001 payment

Zygor Guides

Lowest: $40.00

  • Zygor Elite, billed monthly$45.003 payments
  • Zygor Elite, billed quarterly$40.001 payment

List prices in US dollars from the vendors’ pages, without tax and without discount codes. Each line assumes you stay on that one plan for the whole time. Zygor Elite is paid for as long as you use it; RestedXP’s guides are bought once (whether its licence is for life is not stated). Neither price includes World of Warcraft’s own subscription.

What each says it will cover in Forever

Every cell is that vendor’s own announcement, in our words: a plan, not a finished guide. “Not stated” means the pages we read say nothing about it, which is not the same as “no”.

Both vendors say their Forever guide will not be complete at launch. Zygor warns that its 1–60 path may be only partly updated, because the beta’s level restrictions limit what can be finished there; RestedXP’s product pages say the guide is being created alongside the release and is not yet fully complete. Neither says which levels will be ready. For scale: the beta’s level cap is 30 and the beta ends on October 21, 2026 (WoW Forever beta).

I want the fastest route to 60

Both promise one. RestedXP names a Speedrun Guide and says its speedrunners will look for the fastest routes from the first day; Zygor describes one optimized questing path through the changed zones. Neither route can be checked before launch, and both vendors say their guide will be incomplete then. On what is published, nobody can say which is faster, and we do not.

I play both factions

RestedXP sells by faction: $45.00 for both against $30.00 for one. Zygor Elite is not sold by faction, so its cost depends only on time: $15.00 a month or $40.00 for 3 months. Over 3 months that is $40.00 against $45.00; the calculator above shows where the two cross for the time you plan.

I want professions and collections too

Zygor says its profession guides will be updated for Forever and announces pet, mount and achievement guides at launch and in the weeks after it, without saying which are ready on the first day. RestedXP’s Forever product pages describe a leveling guide and name none of these. Free either way: WoW Forever professions, WoW Forever companion pets and WoW Forever mounts.

I only play for a month

A month of Zygor Elite is $15.00; one faction’s RestedXP guide is $30.00, paid once. Zygor refunds nothing and RestedXP as a rule nothing, so those are the sums at risk for a single month. If you come back later, each further month of Zygor is paid again and RestedXP’s guide is not; the calculator above shows the month where the two cross.

I want to explore

Then a route is the wrong tool, whoever sells it. Forever adds 1,000+ quests and 4 zones, and both products exist to tell you the order to do things in. RestedXP plans a Discovery feature and a Legacy Guide for exploration achievements, and Zygor says it is looking at Legacy Points; both are still paths someone else found. See the next section.

Who should buy neither

You, if you are counting the cost, if you want to find your own way through the new zones, or if you want a finished guide on launch day: neither vendor promises one, and neither refunds as a rule. Nothing is lost by deciding after launch, when players have used both and these pages have been updated. Until then, these pages of this site are free:

WoW Forever leveling guide

What is confirmed about experience, rested bonus, the new quests and travel, with a level chart of the new zones and dungeons.

WoW Forever quest database

Classic’s quests by zone and level, with their chains, givers and rewards.

WoW Forever zones

The 4 new zones, their level ranges and stories, and what changes in the old zones.

WoW Forever map

The game’s own map with its places, and a route planner between them.

WoW Forever dungeons

The 9 new dungeons and Classic’s by level, each with bosses, quests and loot.

WoW Forever Talent Calculator

Every class’s talent trees from the beta client’s data, with shareable builds.

Also free: the WoW Forever Legacy system page with its Legacy Calculator. None of these is a route inside the game: they are pages you read beside it. If that is enough for you, you do not need a paid guide.

What is not known yet

  • The day either vendor’s Forever guide is released or first usable
  • How much of levels 1–60 either covers at launch
  • Which route is faster, and how well either works in play: neither is released, so we have used neither
  • Whether Midnight’s addon restrictions change any feature of either in Forever
  • Whether either vendor’s free offer includes a Forever guide
  • Which languages either will be available in
  • How a Zygor plan is cancelled, and whether RestedXP’s licence is for life
