Zygor Guides for WoW Forever: Pre-Release Review
Zygor Guides is a paid addon that shows a step-by-step questing route inside the game, with an arrow pointing to the next step. Zygor says its guides for World of Warcraft: Forever will be out before the game launches on November 4, 2026. They are not released yet, so this is a pre-release review: what Zygor has published, what it costs, and who can do without it.

What Zygor Guides is
Zygor Guides is a commercial guide product for World of Warcraft, sold as a subscription called Zygor Elite. It is not made, endorsed or tested by Blizzard, which Zygor states on its own site. Its guides are not web pages: they run inside the game in an addon Zygor calls the Guide Viewer.
- A step list on your screen. The Guide Viewer shows the current step while you play: which quest to accept, what to kill or collect, where to hand it in.
- A waypoint arrow. A 3D arrow points toward the next step. Zygor says it also works out how to travel there, using hearthstones, flight paths and portals.
- Progress detection. According to Zygor, the addon notices what you have done, can accept and turn in quests for you and helps choose quest rewards.
- Its own installer. Guides are downloaded and kept up to date through the Zygor Client, a separate program. Zygor says the Forever guides will be delivered the same way.
All of this describes Zygor in today’s World of Warcraft and Classic. Forever runs on modern WoW’s addon system and carries the addon restrictions introduced in Midnight (see WoW Forever vs Classic). Zygor has not said whether any of these features work differently in Forever.
What Zygor says its WoW Forever guides will cover
Zygor’s Forever page describes plans, not a finished product. The table gives each part as Zygor describes it, beside the free page on this site that covers the same ground today, so you can judge what a subscription would add.

The 1–60 guide may be incomplete at launch. Zygor’s Forever page carries its own disclaimer: the guides are being written in the beta, the beta’s level restrictions limit what can be finished there, and Zygor may ship only a partial update to the 1–60 path at launch and complete it afterwards. It does not say which levels will be ready. For scale: the beta’s level cap is 30 and the beta ends on October 21, 2026 (WoW Forever beta).

Its blog post says work on them has started and that no guides will be offered for the beta itself.

Asked by readers under that post, its author answers several times that there will be no beta guides: Zygor wants a finished guide for launch.

Zygor’s Forever page says the guides will come through the Zygor Client well ahead of the game’s launch, and offers an email notice. It names no day.

What Zygor Elite costs
Zygor sells one product, Zygor Elite, in two billing periods. The Forever guides are not a separate purchase: Zygor says they are part of Elite at no additional charge, later Forever updates included.

- No refunds. Zygor’s terms (marked as last updated 25/01/24) say it offers no returns or refunds and that every sale is final. If you want to try it, the free Basic account and the monthly plan commit the least.
- A second monthly bill. Forever itself needs a World of Warcraft subscription or Game Time (see WoW Forever editions). Zygor Elite’s monthly price is about what a month of that subscription costs, so with the guide each month of play costs roughly twice as much.
- The plan details did not name Forever yet. On October 12, 2026 the join page listed retail and Classic versions under each plan. That Elite covers Forever is stated on Zygor’s Forever page and in its announcement.
- Prices can change. Zygor’s terms say posted prices can change without notice and do not include taxes; the price that counts is the one shown when you order.

Who Zygor’s Forever guides suit, and who should skip them
You want to be told the next step
You would rather follow a route than plan one: on a second or third character, say, when the world is no longer new to you.
You already pay for Zygor Elite
The Forever guides arrive on your subscription at no additional charge. There is nothing to buy: try them when they are released.
You play several versions of WoW
One Elite subscription also covers Zygor’s retail and Classic guides, so its price is spread over more than Forever.
You want to rediscover Azeroth
Forever adds 1,000+ quests and 4 zones, and Zygor’s own page says the best leveling path has to be found again. An arrow that has already found it removes that part of the game.
You are counting the cost
It is a second bill about the size of the game’s own, and it is not refunded. Everything in the next section is free.
You plan to race to 60 in launch week
Zygor warns that its 1–60 path may be only partly updated at launch, because of the beta’s level restrictions, and it offered no beta version to practice with.
You want every quest, not the fastest path
Zygor describes its Forever guide as an optimized questing path. Readers asked under its announcement for a do-every-quest mode; the author replied that the request was passed on, which is not a promise.
Wait until the guides are out
Nothing is lost by deciding after launch, when players have used the guides and this review has been updated. Until then the free Basic account shows how the addon itself feels.

None of these is an arrow inside the game: they are pages you read beside it. If that is enough for you, you do not need a paid guide.
