Privacy policy

What we collect

• No accounts, no forms. The site has no sign-up, login or comment box. A talent build you share lives in the link itself, not on a server.
• Settings in your browser. A few tools, such as the profession leveling planner and the Classic comparison toggle, remember your choices in your browser’s local storage. That data stays on your device; clear it any time in your browser settings.
• Hosting logs. The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It sets cookies and receives information such as the pages you view, your approximate location, device and browser, and your IP address, which Google uses to provide the service. We don’t send Google anything that identifies you by name.

You can stop Google Analytics from collecting data about you with Google’s opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser.

Advertising and cookies

• Ads from Google. The site may show ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• How Google uses the data. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and other sites on the internet. Google explains this in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. Cookies, web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers may be used for this.
• Opt out of personalized ads in Google’s Ads Settings, or opt out of other vendors’ personalized ads at aboutads.info. You may still see ads, just not ones based on your browsing.
• Europe, the UK and Switzerland. Visitors there are asked for consent through a message that follows Google’s consent requirements before personalized ads or advertising cookies are used, and can change their choice later.

Your choices

• Block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings; the calculator and guides still work without them.
• Use the opt-outs above for Google Analytics and personalized ads.
• Ask us about data related to your visit at support@wowclassicforever.info. We hold no account data, so most requests are answered by the services above.

Who is responsible

WoW Classic Forever is run by an independent fan, who decides what the site collects and is the contact for everything on this page: support@wowclassicforever.info. Google and Cloudflare are responsible for their own processing under their own policies, linked above.

How long data is kept

• Google Analytics keeps visit data for the retention period set in our account, at most 14 months, then deletes it.
• Cloudflare keeps request logs only as long as it needs them to run and secure the site; see its policy.
• Emails you send us are kept while we answer and follow up, and deleted within 12 months after that.
• Browser storage stays on your device until you clear it. Google and Cloudflare may process data outside your country, under the safeguards their policies describe.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, the UK or California), you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to object to its use or to withdraw consent, and you can complain to your local data protection authority. Email support@wowclassicforever.info. Because the site has no accounts, we usually hold nothing that identifies you beyond an email you sent; analytics and ad data sit with Google, which you can manage in your Google account and the settings above. We don’t sell personal information.

Children

This site is written for World of Warcraft players and is not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.

Changes and contact

If what the site collects changes, for example when ads start showing, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it.
