Fishing in WoW Forever
Fishing’s first camp object, a Fish Bowl at skill 20, gives everyone resting at the camp 8% to all stats; a Fishing Rack and a Fishing Hut follow, for uncommon and rare fish and skill lures.
Camp objects and buffs as on our WoW Forever professions and camping page, from Blizzard’s Deep Dive recap and Wowhead’s and Icy Veins’ beta guides; recipes from beta client build 1.60.1.69913. Last reviewed: .
What Fishing does in WoW Forever
The Fish Bowl’s tooltip in the beta client makes its stats exclusive with Blessing of Kings, so it fills in for a paladin rather than adding to one.
Fishing camp objects
| Tier | Camp object and what it does | Skill |
|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 | Fish Bowl — 8% to all stats | 20 |
| Tier 2 | Fishing Rack — uncommon fish, skill lures | 140 |
| Tier 3 | Fishing Hut — rare fish, skill lures | 300 |
- The beta client (build 1.60.1.69913) has Fishing’s camp recipes at skill 20, 140 and 300.
- You need the profession to place an object, but anyone resting at the camp gets its effect. Objects can be traded, and crafting one makes two.

Does the Fishing camp buff stack with class buffs?
Camp buffs are variants of buffs that classes already bring, and Blizzard says they don’t stack with them: a camp fills in for a missing class rather than adding a second buff.
| Camp object | Buff | Does not stack with |
|---|---|---|
| Fish Bowl (Fishing) | 8% to all stats | Blessing of Kings, per the beta client tooltip |
New Fishing recipes in the beta client
The beta client (build 1.60.1.69913) has no Fishing recipes that Classic Era (1.15.9.69722) doesn’t have, apart from the three camp objects above.
Fishing in the Legacy system
Forever’s account-wide Legacy system gives a Legacy Point the first time you take a tradeskill to 150, 225 and 300 skill, so Fishing alone is worth three. These perks touch it (first rank, as seen in the demo):
- Working Overtime (Professions tree): 4% higher chance of a skill-up from primary, secondary and class tradeskills.
- Dedicated Study (Professions tree): Raises your lowest primary or secondary tradeskill by 1. Once both primary tradeskills and all three secondary ones reach 300, it gives 2 to 4 random Elemental Essences instead. 25 sec cast, 23 hr cooldown.
- Luremaster (Professions tree): With a lure on, 25% chance to catch an extra fish.
- Reagent Economy (Resourcefulness tree): Class abilities no longer need reagents bought from vendors, and Tier 1 camping features cost no reagents to craft.
- Field Guide (Adventure tree): The cooldown for adding camping features is 8% shorter.
- Permanence (Resourcefulness tree): Your long-duration party and raid buffs, and the benefits of resting at a camp, last 50% longer.
Every perk, its tree and where it was seen: WoW Forever Legacy system.
