Undead Paladin in WoW Forever

Undead Paladins give the Horde its first Paladin option in Classic-era WoW. Blizzard’s Deep Dive panel presented the Undead racials with this pairing in mind: Cannibalize now restores Mana, which it called particularly good for Paladins, and the new Touch of the Grave drains Health as you fight.

Racial effects are Blizzard’s, from its September 23 race article; talents come from the same beta talent data as our calculator (where it comes from); hands-on reports are named where we use them. Last reviewed: .

  • Will of the ForsakenCore for a Paladin

Breaks Charm, Fear and Sleep effects on you

A break for Charm, Fear and Sleep, where Classic gave 5 seconds of immunity. Paladins already shorten Fear with Unyielding Faith, and the new Voice of Truth makes you immune to Silence and interrupts for 6 seconds, so together they cover Fear, Charm, Sleep, Silence and interrupts.

Works with Unyielding Faith Voice of Truth

  • Touch of the GraveCore for a Paladin

Attacks and spells have a 5% chance to drain Health, up to 5% of your maximum

A 5% chance on every attack and spell to drain Health, up to 5% of your maximum. Blizzard’s panel describes it as extra damage and a heal in one; a Paladin procs it from melee swings and spells alike.

  • CannibalizeSituational

Eat a nearby Humanoid or Undead corpse to restore 35% Health and Mana over 10 sec

Eat a Humanoid or Undead corpse to restore 35% of your Health and Mana over 10 seconds; in Classic it only restored Health. Between pulls while leveling, that is Mana without drinking.

  • Underwater BreathingMinor

    Hold your breath 300% longer

Forsaken Paladins

Undead Paladins pick up where Warcraft III’s new Forsaken Kingdom campaign leaves off. These former Paladins are deeply mistrusted by other Forsaken and still learning what it means to channel the Light in undeath.

Their journey centers on Bandarion Keep in the Whispering Wood of Tirisfal Glades, a local struggle for acceptance and purpose. At level 60 they get an epic mount quest of their own: Alliance Paladins claim their charger in the name of Redemption, Forsaken Paladins ride in the name of Retribution.
