WoW Forever Rare Spawns
Pick a zone and a level range and the finder lists the rare mobs there: where each one spawns, how long it takes to come back, what it drops that is worth the trip, and whether a Hunter can tame it. Tick the ones you have found and share the list.
Classic Era source (cmangos/classic-db): every rare, spawn point, level, respawn time and drop chance here is Classic Era data. Forever may have moved, added or removed rares, and its client has no table of world creatures to check against. Item tooltips, pet families and maps are read from the Forever beta client (build 1.60.1.70291). Last checked .

What the rare finder covers
- Classic Era, not Forever. The Forever client has no table of world creatures: spawns live on the server. Nothing here says a rare is or isn’t in Forever, and none of the 331 is named in the client’s creature table, so names are in English in every language.
- Spawn points. 109 rares have more than one spawn point; a card shows the first and links the others. The rare stands at one of them at a time.
- Respawn times are the database’s timers of the spawn point, a shortest and a longest wait. The longest is Trigore the Lasher: 2–3 d.
- Drops are items of the WoW Forever item database that the rare drops at 0.5% or more and that at most 12 creatures drop at all, so the shared world-drop tables stay out: 145 items on 90 rares. The chances are Classic Era’s. “Drops for” keeps the rares with a drop your class can use in Forever.
- Tameable. 62 rares are beasts of 16 pet families that a Hunter can tame in Classic Era. What each family does in Forever is on the WoW Forever Hunter page.
- Coordinates are the zone map’s own in the Forever client. That client’s maps of Mulgore, Eastern Plaguelands, Redridge Mountains, Stormwind City have other bounds than Classic Era’s, so a Classic Era addon or guide gives other numbers there; those cards show both.
- Not covered: rares inside dungeons and other instances (78 database rows without a spawn point on the two continents), Forever’s new zones such as Zephras Isle, and quest links: no quest of the WoW Forever quest database is given or completed by a rare.
After the rare
- Getting there: “Route to …” on a card opens the travel planner on the WoW Forever map with the rare’s zone as the destination.
- Hunters: a stable master keeps the pet you tamed. Where they stand is in the WoW Forever trainers finder.
- The example view, tameable rares of level 15 to 25 in The Barrens, lists 4: Snort the Heckler, Takk the Leaper, Humar the Pridelord, Azzere the Skyblade.
Still unconfirmed
- Whether each Classic Era rare still spawns in the same place in Forever
- Forever’s respawn timers and drop chances
- Rares in Forever’s new zones
- Whether Forever changes which rares a Hunter can tame
