Wowhead found the Reins of the Pack Kodo among the Azeroth Commerce Authority’s rewards in the Forever beta, for 6,000 Merchant’s Favor. The beta client lists it as a new epic mount that needs level 60 and has no race or faction limit.

The mount
Kodos have been a Horde mount since 2004. Wowhead reported on September 23 that the Azeroth Commerce Authority, the Alliance supply faction, sells a kodo in the beta for 6,000 Merchant’s Favor; Wowhead notes that the first kodo the Alliance could ride was the Great Brewfest Kodo in The Burning Crusade. The details below come from the beta client’s item table (build 1.60.1.69913), where the item is new: the Classic Era client doesn’t have it.

The client doesn’t give the mount’s speed or say which reputation standing the vendor asks for; Wowhead’s report doesn’t either.
Merchant’s Favor and the supply crates
The Azeroth Commerce Authority and the Horde’s Durotar Supply and Logistics first appeared in Season of Discovery. In the beta client, the Commerce Authority “maintains supply routes to Alliance forces worldwide”, and Merchant’s Favor is a currency both factions trade for. Wowhead says it buys recipes, mounts, toys and cosmetic items.
You earn it with Waylaid Crates. The client has an unlabeled Waylaid Crate (“read the label to identify the shipment”) and 27 labeled ones, each filled with one bundle of materials. Waylaid Crate: Apprentice Textiles, for example, takes 40 Linen Cloth or 20 Light Leather.

Curiosities are enchanting materials (dust, essences and shards). The client doesn’t say how much Merchant’s Favor a crate is worth. One Legacy perk gives a chance of extra Merchant’s Favor when you turn a crate in.
What this means for you
- Alliance players can ride a kodo in Forever. It needs level 60, so it’s a goal for the level cap, not for leveling.
- Keep cloth, ore and herbs you don’t need. Crates from level 10 up turn spare materials into Merchant’s Favor.
- It’s beta data. The price, the level and the crates can change before launch on November 4.

- Which reputation standing the vendor asks for, and whether Durotar Supply and Logistics sells the kodo to the Horde too.
- How much Merchant’s Favor each crate gives.
- How fast the Pack Kodo is.
